Add your Excel or CSV files

Choose two or more files, or one Excel workbook with multiple tabs. Normal jobs are read locally in your browser.

Choose the sheets you want to combine

Select the worksheet tabs that belong in this merge. If a file starts with a title or notes above the real column headers, use the Header row selector.

Choose what kind of result you want

Pick Matches Only, Master + Enrich, Keep Everything, or Stack Rows. Stack is for similar lists; the other three join related records.

Match the rows

For joins, choose the column—or up to five columns—that identify the same record in each sheet. Set the matching rules and see how many rows will match before continuing.

Choose the output columns

Select only the fields you want in the final workbook, filter long column lists, and put the selected columns in the order you prefer.

Preview and download

Review row counts, duplicate-key warnings, active matching rules and the result preview, then download the merged Excel file.

Control exactly what counts as a match

Matching rules affect comparison only. MergeStudio never rewrites the values that get exported.

Match equivalent numbers
007=7

Useful when Excel dropped leading zeros from an ID. Turn it off for strict identifiers.

Normalize extra spaces
car  door=car door

Handles repeated spaces, tabs, line breaks and non-breaking spaces consistently.

Ignore all spaces · Aggressive
car door=cardoor

Off by default because it can combine identifiers that may genuinely be different.

Join or stack?

Use a join when separate files describe the same customers, orders, products or accounts. Use Stack Rows when the files have similar columns and you simply want one longer list.

Matches Only

Keep records whose match key appears in every selected source.

Master + Enrich

Keep every row from one main sheet and add data from the others when a match exists.

Keep Everything

Keep both matched and unmatched records from all selected sources.

Private browser processing

Spreadsheet contents stay on your device for normal jobs.

Parsing and merging happen in the browser using JavaScript and a Web Worker. Large jobs that exceed local safety limits are stopped rather than silently uploaded.
