Merge HubSpot Contacts with Shopify Customers

Combine CRM lifecycle and sales fields with ecommerce customer data after exporting files from HubSpot and Shopify. This is useful for identifying buyers in your CRM, enriching contact records, or finding customers missing from one system.

Merge mode

Master + Enrich keeps HubSpot as the master contact list and adds Shopify fields where customers match.

Matching rules

Use the default smart rules first, then compare the live match reach before making the match more aggressive.

How to combine the exports

  1. Export the HubSpot contacts and Shopify customers you want to analyze.
  2. Add both files, select the real data sheets and correct the Header row if either export begins with report text.
  3. Choose Master + Enrich and map the email columns—or a stronger shared customer ID—between the two sources.
  4. Review the match reach and duplicate warnings, choose output columns, then download the merged Excel file.
If the real question is “which Shopify customers are missing from HubSpot?”, use Keep Everything so unmatched rows from both exports remain visible.

Common matching issues

Different emails

Billing, checkout and CRM email addresses are not always the same.

Names are weak keys

Customer names are not reliable unique identifiers.

Compound keys

If you match on email + phone, both values must agree for the row to connect.

🔒
Normal jobs are processed on your device.

Spreadsheet contents stay in the browser for normal local jobs. Oversized jobs are stopped rather than silently uploaded.
