- Email address
- Stripe customer ID if stored in a HubSpot property
- Another deliberate external ID shared by both exports
Merge HubSpot Contacts with Stripe Customers
Connect CRM contacts with billing/customer attributes after exporting files from HubSpot and Stripe. MergeStudio does not connect to the services directly; it combines the Excel or CSV files you already exported.
Recommended setup
Master + Enrich keeps the HubSpot contact list intact and adds Stripe fields where a contact matches.
Start with equivalent numbers and extra-space normalization on. Keep the aggressive ignore-all-spaces rule off unless it is truly appropriate.
How to merge the contacts
- Export the HubSpot contacts and Stripe customer data you want to compare.
- Add both files and confirm the correct sheets and header rows.
- Choose Master + Enrich. Match on email or a stronger shared external ID when you have one.
- Review match reach, duplicate warnings and the selected output fields before downloading the merged workbook.
Common problems
HubSpot contacts are person-level records; a Stripe export may represent billing customers or accounts.
One customer can have many subscriptions or payments, so transaction files may create many-to-many matches.
Use email or an external ID instead of relying on company or contact names alone.
Your spreadsheet contents are not sent to a MergeStudio backend during normal local processing.
Connect CRM and customer data
Preview the matches first, then download one Excel workbook with the fields you need.
Open MergeStudio →Product names belong to their owners. MergeStudio is not affiliated with HubSpot or Stripe. Export fields can vary, so confirm your own headers.
